Studio HAOS explores concerns of our era by carving a singular path, away from both mechanized mass production and opulent craftsmanship. In 2023, the studio introduced seven new pieces employing just two materials, 40x40 aluminum tubes and zinc sheets – a pair of industrial, ready-made components from which objects of elementary presence are derived. Bearing the scars of their modest extraction, the resulting works embrace reductive geometry and repetition, exuding a raw poetry of strikingly contemporary resonance. This body of work was first presented in Paris in October 2023.
